Newsletter - November 2017
Winter (inally arrived in November, but the cold and long dark nights didn’t deter the running or socialising this Month. Monday nights runs from the club continue to be popular with even more Harriers arriving to eat, drink and socialise afterwards, possibly because of the amount of cake that keeps appearing.
The (irst social event of November away from the club was the curry night out at the Ox and Gate of India in Ashley cross. Members old and new met up whilst shifting a few pints at the pub before heading over to the Gate who did us proud with good table arrangements, prompt service and excellent food.
Later in the month 12 harriers did a head torch run from the Vine Inn, Pamphill followed by beer, sandwiches and cake. A Darts challenge was arranged with the honours going to Jeannette.
The Wimborne 10 now in its 20 th year has always been a high pro(ile local race and once again Harriers were to the fore with our Ladies just out-shining the men. Sarah and Mike Hirst won some prizes whilst Jeannette did a PB of 1.32.
Harriers participated at parkruns throughout the south every weekend as usual. Notable runs included Jeannette running another PB at Poole and Ian completing his 250 th parkrun.
