Peter Leads the Harriers Home in  2008 London Marathon

Harrier Pete Lemon again led the Harriers home in the 2008 London Marathon

Pete ran an excellent race and maintained a steady pace going through the half way mark in a time of 1:33 and hung on well to finish  in a time of 3:11, an excellent improvement on last years time of 3:39. A really good effort and a sign of great character.

Jeff Hinsley enjoyed a steady run and finished in a creditable time of 4:20 eleven minutes ahead of the first Lady of the Harriers Juliet Kingsford who ran with an elegant ease.

Harrier Carol Baker overcame her big day nerves and finished in a time of 4:48, keeping enough in the tank to sprint the final stretch along Birdcage walk, a great effort and there is certainly more to come.
