Silver Lining for Jeffs, Beck

Harriers Jeff Horseman, Jeff Hinsley and Becky Collins were among the enthusiastic competitors in this years London Marathon

Jeff and Becky had a very early start as they joined the Minibus with family and supporters as they headed towards the start at Blackheath and a rendezvous with Jeff Hinsley who had travelled up  on the day before.

All the training had been done and it was now a matter of braving the elements and the distance.  Once at the Blackheath start it was a matter of finding shelter in the hospitality tent, making last minute checks and adjustments and waiting down the time until the start of the race.

Becky Collins in her first Marathon showed grit and determination to finish in a commendable time of 4:18

Jeff Hinsley showed more of the potential that he demonstrated in previous races to finish strongly in a time of 3:54

Jeff Horseman ran a magnificent race, stomach trouble robbing him of a sub 3 hour performance to finish in a time of 3:01

The families, friends and supporters had a magnificent day out, a special word of thanks must go to Harrier Mike Hughes who not only drove the Mini Bus but also managed to get everyone out of the Pub and back home safely.
